just back from sparkles - had a wonderful day - many thanks to all who worked so hard with it...

My two of many highlights were the Trans Workshop headed by the wonderful Vanessa - her thoughtful, informative, personal and open attitude was a complete and utter joy - could have spent hours chatting to her, and i got her phone number score!

The other highlight was the clearly and madly insanely intelligent HRH Madonna Lucia - her comparison between drag and anal sex had me in STITCHES! My cheeks hurt so fecking much - the beeatch is super talented and much younger than me! I'm so bloody depressed lol

The words marriage were bandied about a lot by certain members BEFORE the workshop on civil marriage - i think i hear wedding bells!!!!
Can't wait for next years event - it was lovely meeting and putting faces to other members too

I didn't get to attend all the lectures , but those that i did
were thoroughly enjoyable.
A great job done by the organisers .

Loved Queer Bash, I even wanted to Bash a few of them myself ha ha lol. The show was fantastic. Shiela set the pace and everyone followed with Terry, Fada, Heidi and The ul dancers just fab. Especially the UL dancers. I was on the door for alot of the nite but thank god got to see the show at least. Missed VAG though, Sorry girls. Cant wait for the next big nite.

Thanks so much for all the great comments. I'm delighted you all enjoyed it both Queerbash and Sparkles. It made all the hardwork so worth while.

Those involved include the Out in UL committee, the performers on the night (Fada, Terry, Art in Motion (a.k.a. dance soc) Heidi, Madonna and V.A.G.) Dolans, the U.L. D.J. Society guest speakers who include Cecily, Ger, Vanessa, Billie, Madonna, Claire, Marriage Equality, U.L. sabbats, CnS, Nicole Dunphy, Valerie Dolan.

I'd like to offer a special thanks to Sheila Fits-Patrick and Madonna Lucia who have been fantastic in helping me organise the event from offering suggestions, posters, and all their efforts on the night and at Sparkles. Finally to all those who turned up to the events who made it successful.

Here's to many more successful Queerbash/Sparkles weekends in future years.
