I'll start

My brothers girlfriend said yes to him when he asked her to marry him - she's Lithuanian so we're all going there for the wedding in 2011 - apparently the traditional wedding ceremony takes place over two days - the church part happens on the first day, the mother of the bride is not allowed in the church - instead she waits wherever the dinner is after the ceremony - she waits there to greet everyone with a shot of alcohol, salt and bread for everyone who comes...

the next day then the new bride has to hide in the village or city and the husband has to go find her

must learn about the whole GBTL stance of Lithuania land - all I know so far is that most meets are banned but gays are allowed to serve in the army but not allowed adopt - gay marriage is not legal there yet...

Trying to look up lads there but I can't find a Lithuania room on Gaydar

Sounds like a fun wedding. It's a good idea to do the research Mike so you know what and what not to do over there.

When it comes to gay rights we're very far ahead in what we have achieved. A lot of other countries don't even consider gay rights.

Here's one.

My mother rang me up the other day asking me to set up a printer/scanner she just bought. I live ten mins away. Now my brother lives at home and has a degree in computer engineering. Plus my sister lives up the road from her and is a computer programmer. Just because they are so lazy she went straight to me and expected me to drop everything, get my partner to drive me out to my mothers house and go set up the thing. Now if you give my mother an inch she'll take a mile. Plus she doesn't respect boundaries.

So I simply reminded her she has two wonderfully trained computer people that would have no difficulties doing it. On refusal of asking them, cause 'you know what they're like' she proceeded to ask again. I had to give her a blunt NO.

I bet the printer/scanner is still sitting in the box.

I saw a Lithuainan friends of mines wedding video, it is an event to behold alright Mike, there are lots of little traditions in it, it had me asking a lot of questions about things, that they presumed were common practice.

Gay Polish Man Wins Landmark Case

A gay Polish man has been awarded damages of over 3600 euro after a neighbour verbally abused him over his sexuality.

In what is being seen as a landmark ruling in Poland, Ryszard Giersz won his case against a woman known only as Anna S.
The woman has been banned from using the word “faggot” and has also been ordered to pay Giersz’s court costs.


The judge for the case Urszula Chmielewska said that everyone had a right to love a normal life in society and their sexual orientation is to remain their private business.


The case is the first one in Poland where a gay person has pursued their rights in a court of law openly.


Giersz spoke of the abuse he suffered and that having won his case he hopes that “this verdict makes people more tolerant and think twice before they offend someone who is simply different to them”

So if we go by that, then hey, in God's ideal world its jus' men!
he only made women to keep the (imperfect) man happy :P
