March for Marriage -22nd August, Dublin City Hall - Don't Settle for Half Measures!

Hi everyone,

With the March for Marriage just under a month away we need your help to make it happen!

Please gather everyone you know that supports equal marriage for everyone. Tell your friends and family, gay or straight! Sunday the 22nd of August is the day, gathering to the right of Dublin City Hall (just beside Dublin Castle) (more details to follow). If you have a mailing list or a facebook profile please spread the message far and wide!

If you live outside of Dublin and would like to organise a bus, a mini bus or a car pool to the March please contact us at info@lgbtnoise.ie and we can help publicise it.

If you have a community centre, local gay bar or anywhere that you can (legally) put posters or flyers please let us know and we can post some to you.

If you'd like to volunteer to help out on the day and be a march steward please get in touch at info@lgbtnoise.ie

We are really keen to hear from individuals/couples/friends or family members who support the campaign and would be willing to tell their stories in the media. Please contact us at media@lgbtnoise.ie

I had heard rumour that this one was going to happen... dunno what the turnout will be like... people were alot more riled up this time last year, and there was alot more publicity for the march last year too! I'll of course be making the trek to dublin for it again!

Who's in the car???

Last year Dublin Pride had 15,000 people, and the March For Marriage had 5,000.

This year Dublin Pride had 22,000 people...

There is over 3 weeks to raise awareness of this year's march.

Agreed Fada, there doesn't seem to be as much hype, I think because the Civil Patnership is being pushed through. The civil partnership doesn't include children whatsoever. Though I'm sure if two people had a civil partnership and they had children and one was claiming lone-parents, that the government would soon cut that. Anyhow that's a rant for another day.

I'll be up at this one too. Hopefully it will be bigger than last years.
