We just had Cathal from Cork Action For Equality on the radio station with me there talking about the event Thursday and the civil partnership bill. As well as Breffny Morgan from The Apprentice. Cathal was excellent!! Listen in at: www.ucc.ie/ccr every Friday, 3-4pm 'The Friday Meltdown 98.3fm'

I was quite disappointed at the turn out today for Noise in Punches, there were only 12 of us all together and only 4 of those from Limerick, there were a good few who rsvp'd on their facebook, but didn't show up.
It's all well and good shouting equality from your armchair, but outside your room no one can hear you. More should make Noise.

Oh dear thats terrible! At least 12 showed up. Thats 12 more than the number of people from noise who attended Limerick pride this year when a golden opportunity to draw attention to marriage equality was presented on a plate for them.
Unfortunately this type of thing happens all the time, its the whole 'beyond the pale' thing. Don't let it discourage you its just that bit close to christmas, people are broke or working and the weather keeps them away. I meant to be there today but had something else come up at the last minute. how did noise protest go on thursday?

They had about 200 people turn out, and for the short notice that was pretty good.
They were trying to extend beyond the pale with this today, like you said though, 12 was better than none.
I remember attending the big march in August, and since then the issue seems to have been pushed aside a bit with the Budget and all.
Every step is another step closer, actually when I was at their rally in April there were only about 700 of us, and then 5,000 in August. They intend to be back down here in Janurary, so maybe the numbers will quadruple then too.

Hopefully it will go from strength to strength. 12 now seems really good when they could only pull 200 in dublin. I was at the rally during the summer and it was great and i've a feeling there will be more to come. so my approach at the mo is every little helps to keep the campaign going. wait til after the budget things will take a new spin x

I'll keep pushing, even though I've no intention of marrying, I would like to have the right to choose that myself and not have the choice forced upon me.

there were initially only 2 or 3 people who started CAFE (Cork Action for Equality). It has to start somewhere :)
Didn't hear that there was a rally going on in Limerick? Maybe use GayinGalway and GayCork as well, neighbours can make a huge difference!
There were about 50 of us up on the bus from Cork for the summer rally, and a dozen or so on a bus from Limerick (And other people from Limerick drove up). Everyone needs to pitch in together, regardless of where they call home, to get this issue across.

I know this weekend is chocca with entertainment and things to go and support but if any of ye are available willing and able to hit Cork on thursday night for The Marraige Equality fundraiser I am sure you wont be disappointed.( it would also be great to see some limerick faces in the crowd hee hee)
Another great cause and its good to support our near neighbours.

Knackered after last night and what a success.
At the last count we had raised over €2000.00 for Cork Action For Equality (CAFE) and the lads were still counting as we left last night.
As usual Cork was fantastci and look after us very well and what a pleasant to surprise to see our very own Breandain , Mike from Riddlers and Arnie in the crowd.
Met some great people last night Niall and all the lads from CAFE, Slayer from Gaycork .com , Mr Gay Cork .com Davie who is a dote , Jenna and DJ JUles (who was amazing) Daisy Dripps in man drag !!!!! and of course Roisin and Dermot from Chambers.
Good work Cork , well done and hope to see you all again.

I went last night and wasn't expecting much, to be honest. But I HAD A BALL!!!
The night was so much fun, I loved every minute of it. I had never seen Sheila and Madonna perform before and they were amazing. (I have 'I can hear the bells' in my head all day). Mr and Mrs Santa (or santgina as I call her:D) well cool, and Jules performance was just excellent!
What was meant to be only a quick one to show my support, ended up with me staying the whole night.
Congrats to everyone!!!
