Hi everyone

Now that Halloween is over for another year , I was just wondering what your thoughts were of the weekend.

Myself , I went to the mother of all haouse warming parties on Friday night at Gina and Trionas on Friday night. It was fantastic nice company, nice food and drink and 2 great hosts. We followed this with a "sherry at Mike's house" which was great.

Saturday night then after decorating the house and getting about 5 groups of young trick ot treaters (which was quiet) we hit the town.

First off we went to The Old Quarter which was nothing short of a meat market............fucking crazy...........and not in a good way.I though it was very aggressive so we left and then went to Riddlers.

This I enjoyed very much .It was busy without being too packed and everyone wsas in good form.

We left at 12 and went to La Boutique.I was looking forward to this as I havent been to La Boutique on a normal night since before our holidays last August.

Heidi was amazing and has already built up a strong fan base but after that the night went arseways .............I normally love la Boutique and the clientelle but I found it quite aggressive and tbh rough which I would never normally associate with La Boutique.I felt everyone was on tenderhooks and the atmosphere was not good.

Was it me ? Was I having an off night ? Did anyone else notice it or did I just have my pippy?Even today I am still a bit "piggy"

Your thoughts would be very welcome.

It might have been the weather Sheila, was pissing out and might have put a lot of people in bad form.

We walked down from Kennedy O'Briens and got soaked. I must have looked like crap with all the red and white running down my face and Dibble's black ran out of his hair LOL. I remember you blue stunned face. So weird, and ML's pointy ears.

It was packed inside, we were exhausted so had one pint but had a laugh singing along to Madonna with a little red devil. We left early and passed the bouncer, he was having trouble with 2 girls at the door. We dragged ourselves home and peeled off our costumes.

Anyway it was mayhem in the city, my friend has a CB radio and told us it was chaos that night all over the city.

Oh it was definitely an off night

Friday night was the most fun, I loved Gina & Triona's party, simply fantastic.

Saturday.... ehhhh... It was shite, every pub we went to was packed, there was that "edge" feel to it as well, Riddlers an Kennedy OBriens were the best of the night, I called it after we went to bakers an it just felt like someone was gonna say the wrong thing to someone.

The fact it started pissing rain didnt help much either, nothing worse than your make up running off your face lol

I think ill skip Saturday halloween night when it comes around in 6 years... Its too messy too packed and too gobshitery.

I thought there was a bit of a rough crowd in La Botique myself, there were alot of Heterosexuals there, who didn't seem to be too aware of it being a gay night, or if they were, they weren't too respectful of us. A few of my friends had derogatory comments passed at them, and there was a bit of an edgy mood there.

other than that, the music was fantastic, and Heide was Flawless! LOVED the version she did of Circus! So so appropriate for the night!

Halloween was a Nightmare this year! (Pardon the Pun) The rain was unmerciful! The overcrowding at Mickey Martin's (Which had thee best Halloween decor outside in the lane i have seen in years!) The Bitter End, Aubars and the wicked chicken was mobbed too but still fun! (Great costumes)

Buuuuuuuuuut it started off nice and fun, in Dob's bar where we met the Limerick Musical Society and the lovely dibble2008 holding up the bar while Dbear was going pee pee! :D

Happy belated All Hallow's Eve Everyone! Roll on the Xmas!

ummmm, might even have a santa...ah, might also need a new thread lol.

I enjoyed my conked out samhain, remembering those who have gone before, and wishing them the best. Memories of the past, and fun times we'd had. Looking to the future, and upcoming days of fun with those around us. It was nice, calming and fun.

blessings on ye all.
