I can't blame the beer as I was on diet coke and I haven't checked the ladies but can somebody tell me why there were Pro Life Posters in the mens room in Riddlers?

that kind of stuff doesn't belong in a pub. It's propaganda.

Hey it is a choice that a bar owner makes if he wants to put up any posters. It's just like some one in bentleys who is offended by gay people stating that he or she does not like the fact that gay pride was advertised in the pub toilets. And it is the same thing, Some people do not believe we should b gay unfortunately. I dont like their oppinions but at the end of the day its their choice. If ur offended dont read the posters.:D

Whatever you'r view is on the issue ,freedom of speach must always be respected.
Our community has been looking for tolerence and acceptence since day one.

We must practice what we preach.

I have to agree. We might not like what we see, but if the tables were turned we wouldn't like someone starting this thread about a 'gay' poster.

Ok, I'll just make an observation on this one.

AFAIK the ad's in the toilets are the responsibility of an external markting company, who own the ad space and Mike and the staff have nothing to do with what ads are placed on them.

I don't mind them anyway... I'm prolife myself! ;)

I'm pro life too. I guess it depends on the content of the posters. Are they extreme or mild? And I can understand it's not the lads fault it's the company that supply the posters.

But I've never seen posters for pro life in a toilet, I've seen posters for STDs, condoms, drink driving as these are issues that might affect you when your out for the night and we need to be reminded of these things, 'protect yourself, don't drink and drive' ect... But never anti abortion posters.

I think it's a bit much, i mean I don't think there were 'NO\YES TO LISBON' posters in pubs.

in fairness most of my friends are prolife and i have huge respect for them - i am not in the slightest bit anti-prolife at all

i just don't want to see it in a pub i drink in, there is a time and a place - like it was said earlier posters on stds, safe sex, etc are totally appropriate in toilets and u tend to see them a lot

i think its odd that none of the staff have said anything - i guess they must not have seen the thread
